LSD and Alzheimers

Both clinical and anecdotal reports have shown cognitive benefits from LSD use, including microdosing, which could have a therapeutic impact on Alzheimer’s patients. In research conducted in 2020, LSD has been shown to cause neurogenesis, produce neuroplasticity, and reduce neuroinflammation. Due to the impact of LSD on the brain’s serotonin transmitters, some research suggests that it may be as effective as SSRIs in treating Alzheimer’s1 .
