How Peyote Helped Me Embrace My Sexuality

“If I am the first to not judge, reality responds a lot more generously and positively towards me.”

In this episode of Adventures of the Psyche, we are joined by Vanni Mangoni. He shares how his first ceremony with peyote helped him release judgment of himself and others and fully embrace his sexuality.

Vanni is an Italian born painter, film-maker, and former professional athlete. He joined the art world right after college and co-directed his first feature film “The Song That Calls You Home,” a film about Shipibo Shamanism and the ayahuasca experience which debuted in 2020. In the meantime, Vanni has been working as a painter and muralist all over the world; his latest piece is a four-story high and 17 meter long mural-painting in Rome, commissioned by the President of the Italian Olympic Committee, as a tribute to World and Olympic Swimming Champion Federica Pellegrini.

Join filmmaker and host Mareesa Stertz for a brief visit into other realms where guests share personal stories of illumination, healing, and transformation through their use of psychedelics. See more Adventure of the Psyche episodes here.
