Lauren Okano
Lauren Okano, Ph.D, M.S., believes the careful and intentional use of psychedelic-assisted therapies offers powerful opportunities for both alleviating diseases of despair and unlocking the unique the gifts each and every one of us brings to this world. Lauren is a former National Institute of Mental Health trainee who earned her Ph.D from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Throughout her career she’s straddled research and training, cultivating a sense of stubborn optimism through her experiences leading publications pertaining to the psychotherapeutic approach to psychedelic assisted therapies, measurement and evaluation of adherence to -psychotherapeutic protocols, and curriculum development. Outside of this very meaningful part of her life, you may find her frolicking about the mountains, reeling in fish, swimming in creative writing projects, disappearing into beautiful prose, and loving her rescue pup Mochi.
